I really enjoyed it actually. It passed the test of did I stay up and push onto the next episode at 1am test.
The story was about 8 friends who worked in the entertainment/movie industry in Korea. The main character was the only one who struggled for years with no success. Naturally, there were conflicts, jealousy, and ultimately reconciliation.
The first 2 episodes were frankly painful to watch as the main character (Koo Kyo Hwan) was truly a clown and a loser to boot. Thank god that the mood then steadily improved.
It was a uplifting story as the Koo and the female lead (Go Youn Jung) discovered and helped each other on their journey. For me, it was heart warming to follow the relationship between Go and her grandmother. Also it was nice to see how Go's birth mother and her "new" daughter relationship improved.
The baddies annoyed the crap out of me as well.
There were moments where I thought were hilarious/dead pan funny.
The series also ticked another box for me. Happy endings for all.
On Asianwiki, it was rated highly (93) and rating steadily improved week after week.
Bottom line... An accurate portrayal of human relationships. Well written. I did not waste 12 hours of my life. It was an uplifting story at the end. Worth checking it out.
